Baby Blessings

In just a few hours, there will be a baby shower at our house. I'm up early to get ready. I had a cup of coffee hours ago to get me motivated and put away the last of the Christmas we had out. A new grand baby is on the way! I'm excited and it made me think of this song.

Not that long ago, a beautiful baby boy was born, his eyes are (beautiful) blue. Again, it's why I thought of this song. Anyway, I've had the privilege of watching him grow up to be a super sweet handsome boy! He's 4 years old now! Wow, where did the time go? Everything is about to change, pretty soon there will be two! But one big brother is going to rock it! He will love his baby sister and teach her everything he knows. No doubt, she's going to be sweet as you! I love you Christian! I can't wait to see you hold your new baby sister! XO~mom mom~XO

Christmas 2013

The Coming King

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

As Christmas day approached, we learned someone(?s) via our girls school wanted to go out of their way to help us have a great Christmas!

We were truly blessed and delighted to see how generous and kind they were to think of us!

Shiny new bikes! Two new coats! Bags full of goodies and toys! All wrapped, and then delivered by one special elf involved in the process. :)

Glory to God!!!!!!

The room was beaming with joy!

All for my little girls who had no idea! ;)

(my girls having a picnic on winter break;)

God always knows what we need! :)

Just like the first wrapped gift long ago...!

This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:12

Everyone was happy to see presents under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve! We were all set for our family's tradition to begin, with the first presents to go under the Christmas tree!

New pajamas were waiting for everyone!

While we waited to open them, Santa appeared on top of the firetruck outside our house with the Lansdowne Volunteers handing out candy canes! :)

Then 'The Polar Express' came on TV! :D

Finally when evening came, everyone was excited to open their new pajamas! As you can see Hannah, Lera, and Alice are wearing theirs! :)))

Our whole family put on their new pajamas and watched Christmas movies together until bedtime! :)

Then came Christmas...

With all the presents around Christmas tree! :)

How instrumental is our God in showing His Love for us!

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Luke 2:13-14

This was Alice before going to bed on Christmas Eve. She held up the candy canes the firemen and Santa brang. Then she placed them on the Christmas tree. <3 :)

Happy Birthday To Jesus! ~

On Chrismas morning before opening the presents, Jim read from Luke chapter 2 about our Savior's birth. We sang 'Happy Birthday to Jesus!' Then we opened all the presents He blessed us with...

Our beautiful Christmas!

After opening presents, our girls couldn't wait to get dressed in their new clothes and ride their new bikes outside before going to grand moms and poppys house! <3

We went to Jim's parents house for dinner and met all the family there. Then our big kids came back to our house.

Just a few more pictures of Christmas and some from our Christmas party that we had at our house the on the 21st. Thank You God for CHRISTmas! For baby Jesus that came that first Christmas morning. Who grew and went to the cross to die for our sins. Who rose again on the third day to go and prepare a place for us in heaven. Who will come again to take us home. Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty-- he is the King of glory. Psalm 24:10

Aim

... The aim of something that you do is the purpose for which you do it.

Happy 2014! My new word for starting out this year is aim. The reason I chose this word is because of my kids. They were playing outside during winter break when God began showing it to me through them. The girls had taken their new Christmas bikes out for a ride, and the boys grabbed a basketball to shoot a few hoops down the street from our house. The unseasonably warm weather we were having, combined with the most beautiful kids EVER had me running outside behind them. Decidedly, I aimed my camera and took a few photos because I didn't want to miss it! The one above was my favorite, saved along with the others on Instagram. What grabbed my attention at first, later impressed me more. While they aimed to ride bikes, and shoot hoops, I aimed too! They are my hopes and dreams. They inspire my aim and are worth my attention! I'm glad I didn't miss them that day. This is only the beginning. The old year is past. Lord help my aim. Today is what really matters. I will look for You in it! Thank you for our ten beautiful children and our growing family. May they all get the attention they deserve! This is my aim. They are my dreams! =)

2 Corinthians 13:11 NIV
Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
