What is one of your favorite stories of adoption?

"being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised." (Romans 4:21)

I am partnering with Show Hope to help restore the hope of a family to orphans in distress!

For this assignment, I will be answering the following question:

"What is one of your favorite stories of adoption?"

From the time I found out about three-year-old "little blond angel" in Ukraine that needed a home, or else she would die, I knew God was getting our attention. We already had our ninth child, Hannah, also "three years old" at the time, born with Down syndrome, and I knew there had to be a reason God gave her to us. Through the course of events that followed Hannah's birth, diagnosis, and the medical complications she overcame to survive, we were learning that they were all a part of God's plan. Shortly after finding out about "little blond angel", it just so happened that God introduced us to the Chapman's adoption ministry; Shoahannah's Hope, now, Show Hope. God wanted to "show hope" through our daughter, Hannah and lead us to our second angel. But first we had to say, "yes" and believe that God would to take us all the way across the ocean so we could find her; now our daughter, Lera. To learn more about my favorite adoption story, please read my book; Chasing a Dream Where the Sunflowers Growhttp://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000463730/Chasing-a-Dream-Where-the-Sunflowers-Grow.aspx So many more orphans are waiting!
